Our rural Western New York farm has belonged to our family for three generations. We breed Newfoundland dogs because of their temperament, intelligence, size and outstanding beauty. We are a hobby breeder, having one or two litters of puppies a year. We place the emphasis on the quality of our Newfoundlands as opposed to quantity.
Genetics and soundness in structure are seriously considered when we plan our litters. Each of our Newfoundland dogs are certified by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) for hips. We are also certifying hearts, elbows, patella's and thyroids. Our Newfoundland dogs are DNA cystinuria clear. Our proven breeding program is well known for multiple OFA EXCELLENT hip ratings.
We are continually breeding for temperament, soundness, correct type and size as described in the AKC Newfoundland breed standard. We raise blacks, browns, Landseers, and greys.
